PAL Provides Original Art to Hang in Your Business!

xThe Pleasanton Art League is pleased to offer local businesses the chance to hang original fine artwork from local artists in their place of business. When you are a member of the Pleasanton Art League Public Art Circuit, participating artists deliver and hang their artwork in your place of business or office, and attach a label with information about the artist and the artwork. This work is rotated on a quarterly basis, so that you always have new work in your office.

If you would like to participate in this program, either as a business, or as an artist, please contact us.

Currently, the following local businesses participate in this program:

PAL Art Circuit News

The Art Circuit is now going to have a one-person show each circuit cycle at Vogue Hair Salon, near Raley's in Pleasanton. You'll be able to show approximately 6 pieces. It is an open, large space and because it's a beauty salon, many different people will see the work. They will need someone for the end of April through July 22nd. If you are interested in showing your work there, please contact Lisa Rigge at 925-846-8149 or e-maillbrig@sbcglobal.net. (Note: If you e-mail and don't get a response within a week, please call Lisa – not all of her e-mails are downloading.)

PAL Circuit Sale

Ron Rigge recently sold one of his photographs on the PAL Circuit. Congratulations!

PAL Members: We Need You!

As a member of PAL, you are eligible to participate in PAL's Art Circuit and display your artwork on the walls of the the local businesses listed above. The Pal Art Circuit is a wonderful opportunity for artists, businesses, and the public to come together and appreciate the art of the Pleasanton Art League.

There are currently 6 teams in the PAL Art Circuit (4 teams of painters and 2 teams of photographers), each run by a team captain, and all six teams are overseen by the Circuit Chairperson, Lisa Rigg. Thea artwork is hung for three months at each location. Then, on the "change-out" days in January, April, July, and October, each team moves its work from its current location to its new location. Each location has a specific number of pieces that can be hung, which ranges from 6 to 16 pieces. The Team Captain determines how many pieces each artist on the team hangs. We have a need to add both painters and photographers to the circuit. Most teams have 3 artists, and we'd like each team to have 4. If there's enough interest, we can form another team.

If you are interested in joining the PAL Circuit or know of any businesses who would like our artwork exhibited in their location, please contact Lisa Rigge at lbrig@sbcglobal.net or call at 925-846-8149.
